It took me a while to find a brush cleanser spray recipe that cleans and disinfects at the same time. Does two attributes are very important as it will keep you tools clean, so your eyes and face will stay clean of bacteria and your make-up will stay clean therefor keep longer.
I found a recipe that I liked at encore and I’ve been using it ever since. I did adapted it with product that can be purchased in my local supermarket and drugstore. Here’s what you will need, it makes about 150 ml of cleanser:
- 8 tbsp. of distilled water
- 3 tbsp. alcohol (70% of 100%)
- 1 tsp. dishwasher fluid sensitive
- 1 tsp. baby shampoo or very mild shampoo (find one that smells nice)
- 1,5 tsp. leave in conditioner (must be leave in because it’s more liquid)
I use these utensils to measure & mix most of my potions and of course a nice cup of hot thee to relax and my favorite tool duct tape and a marker pen.
I just measure the fluids and put them in this measuring bowl, then be sure to stir and not shake, this is important because you don’t want it to lather up.
As you can see stirred and not shaken! It’s enough to fill two small bottles, I use one for in my make-up bag and the other bottle is in the kitchen where I have it at hand if I need to use is to clean the stuff in my handbag.
And then the finished product, of course with duct tape labels as it should be. My next mission is to find cheap and removable labels. Anyway, this is a very cheap and effective cleanser which smells heavenly because you can choose your own products. I use ladies daily liners to clean my brushes, just pray some on the liner and some on the brush and just stroke it until the brush is clean.
Happy DIY-ing and cleaning,
Wojis
