Dry hair, totally care! | Kérastase Résistance

Today I want to talk about my hero in times of need, when all else fails, when I am about to cut off my hair again! I’m talking about my go to haircare line from Kérastase, the Résistance series, this line of products are anti-breakage hair care products, that rebuild the internal structure of weakened hair to strengthen and reinforce the fiber, creating strong hair from roots to tips. And I must admit I was almost temped to cut my hair off again, but decided to go for the following Résistance power trio; Resistance Ciment Anti-Usure in 200 ml. tube, Resistance Bain Therapiste in 250 ml. tube, and the Resistance Serum Therapiste in the 30 ml. pump flacon. There are more products in Résistance scope, just pick out what you think you will need. An I”l tell you all upfront, like I promised I would, I combine the Résistance products with shea butter, and coconut oil. This way I get all the goodness for my hair, and my scalp.

These beautiful green haircare products have changed the game, my hair is even smoother, and within a week or two I just feel it being stronger. I can not stress enough that I use coconut oil for my (dry) scalp, and additional coconut hair mask treatment if my hair or scalp need it. The shea butter has a prominent daily task, I use it style my hair (as the Kérastase Résistance makes my hair extremely smooth and soft) to give it volume, and protect it at the same time. As we are speaking haircare, just run what is left of the shea butter or coconut oil over your eyebrows and lashes, you will notice a difference within a few week , but you must use it daily, daily use is key. And don’t stop after you have reached results, you will lose the effect quicker than you can fix it.
I shampoo 2 – 3 times a week, that is really the maximum, as I want to protect my hair from breaking as much as possible. Especially in winter, my scalp gets so dry from all the shampooing, I try tot skip is as much as possible. The conditioner I use with shampoo cycles, just make sure you use it as prescribed, if you do not want totowel-dry your hair before use, and leave it in for 2 minutes skip it. These beauties are to expensive to not use correctly. Sérum Thérapiste is a double-action hair serum for very-damaged and over-processed hair. It works a charme on my hair, I wouldn’t use it during spring and summer, as I don’t need it, but after the holidays, where I have overindulging in sun and sea, this serum works magic.  I tend to use it in the morning the day after washing my hair, if I feel I need it more often I do. It gives a grand glow to hair also, so I keep it for daytime. Before going to bed I rather use my shea butter of coconut oil (you could use both) to boost my hair if I need to. Coconut oil, and shea butter are much cheaper than the green miracle workers.
If you have very greasy hair, I would skip the coconut oil and the shea butter, you wouldn’t really need the Kérastase Résistance product anyway imho – if you must repair, than only use it on the ends. Just try and keep the shampooing to a maximum of 2 times a week and your hair will be good by itself probably.
There is nothing else to say, Kérastase has never let my hair down *pun intended*!
ThnXo,
Wojis
