Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Truffles
My first batch of protein-dates-cocoa truffles, I’m not sure about the peanut butter, think the next batch will be without.

Ingredients:
- About ten/10 medjool dates pitted (if very dry, soak in water of the almond milk)
- 75g hazlenut
- 75g pecan nuts
- 30g chocolate protein powder (I used Orangefit)
- 30g vanilla protein powder (I used Orangefit)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp shredded coconut
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, 1 tbsp unsweetened cacao
- 4 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 60ml coconut oil,
- ½ cup almond milk
- pinch of salt
You need to blitz this in a food processor. Add all the ingredients except the almond mild, poor that in bit by bit as much as you need to make a sticky clump of dough. Not to sticky, it should be like cookie or pie dough.
Roll little balls, then roll them in cocoa powder, cut them in half, if you want half’s like I have made. Coat the bottom with cocoa powder, and you are done. You can make bigger balls, you could make smaller ones, even roll the dough out and make flat shapes, the rolling makes is quick and simple.
I like the cocoa powder, makes these beauties taste more like truffles, but you could go without. Nuts and seeds make a good sprinkle too, I bet these would be great with a crunchy coating. Like I said, I won’t be adding peanut butter the next time, I think I will add moor cocoa powder and maybe some hazelnut paste.
Nuts, seeds, legumes, used! No dairy was harmed in the process!
